North Korea Threatens to Destroy Japan and US with Nuclear

WorldMozaic - North Korea Threatens to Destroy Japan and US with Nuclear.

A North Korean state agency threatened to use nuclear weapons to 'drown' Japan and 'crush' the US into 'ashes' as it supports UN Security Council resolutions and sanctions over its latest nuclear program.

North Korea's North-Pacific Peace Committee, which handles Pyongyang's external affairs and propaganda, also called for the dissolution of the UN Security Council, which they call a 'malicious tool' composed of countries that have been 'bribed' by the United States.

"The country with the four islands must be sunk into the sea by the Juche nuclear bomb and Japan no longer needs to be near us," the committee said in a statement broadcast by North Korean news agency KCNA.

Juche is a North Korean ideology that combines Marxime with extreme nationalism taught by country founder Kim Il-sung, grandfather of current leader Kim Jong-un.

Tensions in the region have been steadily warming since North Korea held its sixth and strongest nuclear test on September 3.

Fifteen members of the UN Security Council responded by making decisions on draft US-drafted resolution and new sanctions on Monday (11/09/2017), among others by banning UN member countries to import North Korean textile products which are the second largest contributor to exports after coal and minerals.

North Korea reacted to UN Security Council action by again threatening to 'destroy' the US, Japan and South Korea.

"Destroy US land into 'ash and darkness', let us revenge our vengeance by deploying all the vengeance that has been prepared until now," the committee said in a statement quoted by Reuters news agency.

North Korea also threatened Japan because it only followed the wishes of the US, and said that they would not forgive Japan's crimes, referring to Japanese aggression during the war.

The committee also referred to South Korea as a 'pet traitor' of US pets, a statement that later received a strong response from Japan.

"This is a very provocative and frightening statement that could potentially increase regional tension and is very unacceptable," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a regular news conference on Thursday (14/09/2017).

North Korea has ignored UN Security Council resolutions and sanctions, pledging to continue nuclear weapons and missile development programs despite international pressure.
