Again, North Korea Launches Inter-Continental Missile Test

WorldMozaic - Again, North Korea Launches Inter-Continental Missile Test

North Korea launched intercontinental missile tests across Japan before falling into the Pacific Ocean Friday morning (15/09/2017).

Sources interviewed by NBC News revealed that the ballistic test was conducted at 6:57 am local time from Sunan, the eastern Pyongyang region. The intercontinental missile flew nearly 4,000 kilometers across Japan. This missile experiment is the sixth trial of Kim Jong-un's regime.

The test launch of the missile has been previously forecast by US high officials monitoring the North's preparation activities. Since the previous three days, US intelligence units have observed movable missile launchers and a number of personnel are preparing the launch pad.

Last week, the government of President Donald Trump proposed the publication of tougher economic sanctions capable of paralyzing the North. But the proposal was countered by the US Special Representative to the UN, Nikki Haley is willing to postpone the proposal while waiting for support from Russia and China. But now North Korea ignores the threat of economic sanctions that have been dropped by the UN Security Council after North Korea conducted its fifth nuclear missile test, a few weeks ago.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is rumored to be pressuring China to reduce its oil imports from North Korea, in order for Kim Jong-un to comply with UN economic sanctions. "The move has proven to be a powerful weapon ever implemented," Tillerson said.

The top US official was in London meeting with top British and French officials, including discussing nuclear proliferation with North Korea. US Defense Secretary James Mattis met General John E. Hyten, US Strategic Commander at the US Strategic Command Center in Omaha, to evaluate the readiness of US nuclear weapons.
