WorldMozaic - Know the Symptoms of the Appendicitis.

Appendicitis is a medical emergency that requires immediate surgery to remove the inflamed appendix. If this inflammatory condition is allowed to drag on, the inflamed appendix will leak and its contents will come out into the abdominal cavity. The next condition will be worse (known as peritonitis) and can be fatal.

Appendicitis can affect all ages, though rarely seen in under two years of age. The most common victims are in the 10 to 30 year age group. Gender has no effect on the incidence rate of appendicitis.

What causes appendicitis? Dirt, foreign bodies or tumors closing the appendix are the most common factors that result in appendicitis. It can also come from the infection process, because the appendix may swell in response to infection in the body.

The classic symptoms that need to be recognized in appendicitis are:
  • Dull pain in the abdomen that is focused on the lower right abdomen, usually this is characterized as early symptoms.
  • Reduced appetite
  • Nausea and / or vomiting after the onset of abdominal pain
  • Swelling Belly
  • Fever
  • Can not fart

In more severe conditions, other symptoms will appear, such as:
  • Pain in the entire abdominal wall
  • Pain during urination
  • Vomiting before abdominal pain
  • Stomach cramps
  • Constipation or diarrhea with some fart

If you notice the above symptoms, seek help to the nearest Hospital immediately , because the time for action is very important. Do not eat or drink anything or take any medication because it can cause rupture of the appendix.
