A 21-year-old boy was reportedly killed because hit by a mechanical device while visiting a haunted house ride in Hong Kong.

The man named Cheung was found unconscious about five minutes after getting into a ride called Buried Alive in Ocean Park. He was later declared dead, police said.

Official from Ocean Park said Cheung entered the forbidden area, whereasHong Kong's local media said he was hit by a coffin.



"This rides are part of the Halloween Festival, which promises visitors the experience of being buried alive, on their own, before fighting it out of that dark and terrible tomb," Buried Alive's website says.

Local media revealed, visitors are asked to enter into the coffin.

Cheung was visiting with a group of people who are among the early visitors to the new rides that is planned to open on October 5.

Police say the investigation is continuing, while the rides are closed for an unspecified time.
