A new invention in the form of special helmet which help the blind people to be able too 'see'. What is it look like?

Five university students from China developed a smart helmet that can help the blind.

The helmet,  called Eye See, is equipped with a laser and can make the blind to see the obstacles, as well as text and to help to describe people.



Eye See is equipped with a camera and laser radar, which makes it able to detect obstacles from a distance of three meters.

For radar used in this helmet, it uses the same technology used by automated cars (cars capable of driving autonomously).

The developer who are the students from City College of Kunming University majoring Science and Technology, claimed that the technology inside this helmet can provide basic description of people.

The developers have also registered patents for the helmet, and plan to produce it in mass quantity in the future.
